Launched in 2014, Contigo Catering grew out of roots in the Contigo family ranch in Fredericksburg and Contigo Restaurant in Austin. Now our own independent company responding to rapid growth and high demand, we are a leader in custom catering in Central Texas. Reporting to and working closely with the CEO, Contigo Catering's Marketing Manager interacts with many aspects of all (4) business - Contigo Catering, Table Manners, Ocaso Catering, and One Eleven East Event Venue. The day-to-day responsibility of this role will be focused on big picture marketing goals, sales planning, and working closely with our branding + marketing agency on the production of high quality creative assets (graphic design, social media, newsletters, etc). Must have proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and interpersonal skills that help with building strong relationships.
As such, the ideal candidate is an organized, creative and detail-oriented individual, able to fulfill both short-term and long-term objectives without losing sight of day-to-day tasks. Their focus is bringing vision and execution to our planned and defined marketing initiatives, and prioritizing integrity of each brand. We are a small, tightly knit team that enjoys good food and values good people. We are seeking a candidate with long-term potential who will feel comfortable growing with us.
Day-to-Day Ownership
This is an opportunity to impact and elevate all of the companies on a daily basis. The Marketing & Sales Director's day-to-day will reflect current events and ongoing priorities, but can generally be designated within and held accountable to the following:
> Strategic Planning: work with CEO and sales teams to define sales & marketing objectives; look at quarterly goals to plan and execute key sales & marketing touch points (holidays, promotions, unveilings, giveaways, gifting, sales strategies, etc); translate strategies into actionable plans, ensuring seamless integration of internal and external efforts; manage SEO, SEM for all companies; collaborate and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, using data to optimize strategies.
> Sales Leadership: weekly sales team meetings per company; constantly reviewing and creating ways to reach goals with defined strategies; managing the pipeline; keeping sales team(s) accountable to their goals and outreach; analyzing the data and utilizing that to help the team(s) set goals; deep dive into the sales team(s) personalities, motivations, & skills so we are able to target strengths and weaknesses; determine concise messaging that will unify the team(s) and streamline the way we communicate; be able to incorporate subconscious sales planning across all companies; ensure client payments are being made; approve sales team commissions; provide training that can guarantee increased lead engagement and win rates.
> Agency Partnership: collaborate and manage our external marketing agency; submit organized and concise project requests; review month-to-month content created by Marketing Agency; be daily POC for Agency, available daily for questions and approvals, provide clear briefs, guidelines, and feedback to the agency, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and align with brand guidelines; Oversee the end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, coordinating with the agency on creative development.
> Market Research + Analysis: stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies; utilize data and analytics provided by the Agency to measure the impact of marketing efforts and provide actionable insights
> Industry Knowledge + Outreach: familiarity with the event industry; ability to identify key clients and plan for outreach; define how to include key clients into the marketing strategy; manage our internal relationship tracker shared across all (4) companies; create quarterly plans for outreach to clients and keep sales team(s) accountable for their initiatives.
> Content Development: ability to create engaging and compelling content for various marketing needs, that can be passed on to agency or used internally; overarching responsibility to enhance each brand's image, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels; will have some social media posting and management responsibilities.
> Internal Marketing Management: responsible for monthly newsletters for all (4) companies; input, delegation and content capture of all internal marketing events; oversee branded purchasing for internal and external gifting/goods/swag; review, organize + compile photo albums for each company sent post events; define processes and standards for internal communications, such as how to style a buffet or how to elevate our presentation.
