Sales Director – North America

Our client, a rapidly growing organization within the health, wellness, nutraceutical, and functional ingredients industry, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Sales Director to lead commercial growth initiatives across North America.

This executive-level sales leader will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and optimizing commercial operations across both branded products and ingredient solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in B2B sales leadership, commercial strategy, and team development within the dietary supplement, functional ingredient, food ingredient, or related industries.

*** This is a remote position but located in New Jersey preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the North American sales organization, including sales, business development, and customer support functions.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic account expansion, new business development, and enhanced go-to-market execution.
  • Develop and implement scalable commercial strategies focused on increasing sales performance, profitability, and market share.
  • Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales revenue, margin performance, pipeline development, and customer retention.
  • Identify opportunities for growth across sales and operational functions while implementing value-added solutions that improve customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, supply chain, and executive leadership to support organizational objectives and EBITDA growth initiatives.
  • Strengthen customer relationships through consultative selling, strategic planning, and high-level account management.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to identify emerging opportunities and support long-term commercial strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, functional ingredients, food ingredients, wellness, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales strategy, account management, and commercial operations.
  • Experience managing complex customer relationships and negotiating strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Experience selling branded nutraceutical products and/or functional ingredient portfolios.
  • Background working with manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, or contract manufacturing organizations within the health and wellness sector.
  • Strong network within the dietary supplement, wellness, food & beverage, or functional ingredient industries.

Compensation: $185,000 - $200,000 + Bonus and Benefits
