Position Summary

We're seeking a Sales Engineer with expertise in Esri ArcGIS to help customers understand and leverage GIS-driven solutions. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, translating geospatial capabilities into clear business value while supporting the full sales cycle.

You'll also collaborate cross-functionally to influence product development, enhance GIS capabilities, and support customer success. This is a high-impact role for someone who combines technical depth with strong communication and customer engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

• Deliver impactful presentations, demos, and technical discussions.

• Partner with Sales to understand requirements and design solutions.

• Translate complex GIS concepts into business value for diverse audiences.

• Support RFPs, technical evaluations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.

ArcGIS Expertise

• Administer and maintain ArcGIS environments (Online, Enterprise, Pro).

• Integrate ArcGIS with APIs and customer systems.

• Troubleshoot issues and advise on GIS best practices.

• Stay current on Esri technologies and updates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with Product to shape GIS features and roadmap.

• Provide customer-driven insights and technical feedback.

• Support Marketing with demos and GIS-focused content.

• Partner with Customer Success, Professional Services, and Support on implementations and escalations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• 3–5 years of experience presenting technical solutions.

• Strong understanding of GIS concepts (spatial analysis, data models, mapping workflows).

• Experience managing ArcGIS environments.

• Familiarity with APIs and enterprise integrations.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred

• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or Esri SDKs.

• Background in SaaS or enterprise software.
