Description
Sales Engineer selling fault monitoring equipment used by electric utilities for locating, predicting, and preventing grid faults.
The fault monitoring equipment:
â Finds fault locations within seconds and predicts potential problems before they happen.
â Optimize grid operations, reduce downtime, and enhance safety.
â Operates on medium and high voltage grids
Job content and
duties
â Expand sales throughout assigned territory by calling on electric utilities
â New customer acquisition
â Develop proposals for customers
â Attend conferences and trade shows
Requirements
â Ideally based in the Western US or willing to travel extensively to the area.
â 5+ years of experience selling to the electrical power industry particularly in US power grid technologies used on distribution and transmission systems
â Ability to teach and relate ideas
or concepts to individuals with varied levels of experience
â B.S. Electrical Engineering degree
or equivalent experience in the field of electric power engineering
â Experience in working
with network protection, automation & control devices, IT and data
communications
Benefits
Salary up to $150,000 (DOE) with total compensation potential of $200,000+
