The Role


As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in the sales process as the technical expert and trusted advisor to prospects and customers. You will lead product demonstrations, run technical discovery sessions, and build proof-of-concept environments that clearly showcase the value of CyberSentriq.

Working closely with Account Executives, you will translate customer challenges into compelling technical solutions that drive confidence and accelerate deal progression. This is a highly consultative, customer-facing role that requires the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity and credibility.

While the primary focus is pre-sales, you will also support onboarding, training, and occasional escalations to ensure customers get off to a strong start.


What You Will Be Doing


  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments, security posture, and key challenges
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned to customer needs and priorities
  • Design and support proof-of-concept trials to validate solutions in real-world environments
  • Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle as the technical lead
  • Respond to technical and security questionnaires including RFPs and RFIs
  • Build strong relationships with prospects and customers, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor
  • Support onboarding activities and assist with escalations where needed
  • Stay current on cybersecurity trends and the evolving threat landscape
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence roadmap development


What We Are Looking For


  • Experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or technical pre-sales role within cybersecurity or SaaS
  • Strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals including DNS, SMTP, HTTP/S, and TCP/IP
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging product demonstrations and adapt to customer needs in real time
  • A consultative approach with the ability to uncover requirements before recommending solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, trials, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • A genuine interest in cybersecurity and continuous learning


Nice to Have


  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce and working in a metrics-driven environment
  • Experience supporting MSPs or working within a channel-focused business
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Security+ or CISSP
