We have an opportunity with our client in the Industrial equipment industry for a Sales Engineer. This role will seek opportunities and interact with the customers to fully define their heating process needs that meet the project demands. Work with the Project Engineering team to establish the quote generation process. Work with the assign Project Engineer to determine cost and pricing following the gross margin guidelines. Set selling strategies with Sales Manager.

Duties:
  • Responsible for all communication and coordination of sales opportunities to which they are assigned.
  • Responsible for providing an accurate proposal in a timely manner at the customers, or potential customer’s request.
  • Responsible for effective communication with the customer to ensure that client has the best chance of being awarded a purchase order.
  • Responsible for clearly defining all equipment sold upon time of transfer to Project Management / Project Engineering group.
  • Maintaining current and accurate records with respect to sales opportunities in the Sigma Thermal CRM system.
  • Attend trade shows and proactive business development activities when required.
  • Prepare technical and proposal presentations to explain how heating system(s) perform.
  • Establish customer rapport and acceptance by face-to-face visits
  • Have open communications with the sales representatives to establish a sales strategy and enhance client’s position to close the sale.
Required:
  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 5 plus years as a Project or Process Engineer for industrial equipment
  • Ability to both technically and commercially sell products and systems in the thermal industrial field.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Open to travel 30-50% of the time
