Sales Engineer

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our client's growing team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an individual with a Mechanical Engineering background who enjoys working directly with customers, preparing technical quotations, managing orders, and serving as a key liaison between customers and production. This is not a cold-calling sales role. Instead, the Sales Engineer will support existing customers, develop quotations, review engineering revisions, and ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time. This is an Onsite position and will be required to be in the office Monday-Friday 8-5pm

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit technical quotations based on customer specifications and requirements
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support throughout the sales and production process
• Follow up on quotations and customer orders
• Review revision drawings and engineering change notices for accuracy
• Enter and process orders within company systems
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders
• Communicate revision changes and project updates to customers and internal departments
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service and communication
• Monitor order status and proactively address potential delays or issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• 2-3 years of experience in sales engineering, manufacturing, engineering support, or a related technical role
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and revision documents
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/order management systems preferred
