Sales Engineer
\nThe Position:
\nThe Sales Engineer drives new business development and maintains existing accounts by managing the full sales process, preparing technical proposals, and providing ongoing customer support. This role focuses on bidding plan-and-spec projects, design-build projects, and direct owner negotiations. Success in this position requires strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills to deliver solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction, that will contribute to company growth. The position requires interpreting engineering drawings, developing technical concepts, presenting controls solutions, and supporting financial performance and strategic initiatives. This is a full-time position offers flexible scheduling, typically with 8-hour shifts during office hours (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM).
\nResponsibilities:
\n· Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by anticipating needs and delivering solutions.
\n· Prepare quotes and scopes of work from takeoff plans, specifications, and project documentation.
\n· Manage entire sales process and communicate project information to Operations.
\n· Track, manage, and communicate changes regarding project scope, schedule, cost.
\n· Qualify opportunities and prioritize the sales pipeline based on customer need and revenue potential.
\n· Contribute to financial projections and manage project margins to ensure profitability.
\n· Document customer activity and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
\n· Collaborate with sales leadership to refine go-to-market strategies and value propositions.
\n· Conduct post-project follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
\n· Present service options and propose a Support Agreement with new customers.
\n· Present Automated Logic WebCTRL software demonstrations to owners, engineers, and trade-show attendees.
\n· Participate in industry associations, events, and occasional overnight travel.

\n· Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or business
\n· 3-5 years of sales experience
\n· 2+ years of industry experience (HVAC or BAS) is preferred
\n· Working knowledge of estimating a project.
\n· Ability to value engineer control designs
\n· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
