Sales & Estimating Coordinator
Location: Bourbonnais, IL. In-person role with local client appointments and project site visits

Crockett Construction is looking for a Sales & Estimating Coordinator to serve as the key point of contact from initial lead engagement through the completed estimate and project handoff. This role blends client communication, sales, estimating, site visits, pre-construction coordination, and project documentation. The ideal candidate understands construction, can build trust with clients, and knows how to turn project details into accurate scopes, proposals, and estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound leads and communicate with prospective clients by phone, email, and in-person meetings
- Qualify leads by reviewing project scope, budget, timeline, and client fit
- Schedule and conduct site visits to gather project information for accurate estimating
- Prepare estimates, preliminary pricing, scopes of work, proposals, contracts, schedules, and related project documents
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to review scope and obtain proposals
- Use Xactimate, JobTread, Bluebeam, SmartBuild, and Microsoft Office tools to manage estimates, bid requests, proposals, and project information
- Maintain the sales pipeline and update client communication, follow-ups, and project metrics in JobTread
- Apply for permits when needed and assist the Project Manager with change order estimating
- Facilitate a structured handoff to the Project Manager once the project is approved and contracted
- Build strong client, trade partner, vendor, and internal team relationships
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in construction estimating, project management, business development, or a related construction role
- Strong construction knowledge, including methods, materials, cost structures, and job scopes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Experience creating accurate estimates and supporting projects through the sales/pre-construction process
- Excellent communication, presentation, follow-up, and client-facing skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with JobTread, Xactimate, Procore, Buildertrend, Salesforce, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to work; company vehicle provided for client appointments
- Must be able to work in person in Bourbonnais, IL, and surrounding service areas
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, consistent with applicable law.
Pay and Benefits
- Compensation includes a base salary, gross profit-based commission, and performance bonuses.
- Target first-year earnings are approximately $88,400 when established performance goals are achieved. Actual earnings will vary based on sales results and project performance.
