Sales Executive - Software Sales (Entry Level)

Job Summary

As an entry-level Sales Executive in our software sales division, you'll be the friendly face of our company, building relationships with potential customers and guiding them through their buying journey. You'll work with a collaborative team, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop the skills that set the foundation for a successful sales career. This role is based in Alabama and offers the chance to grow your expertise in software sales while making meaningful connections with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective customers through phone, email, and video calls to understand their business needs and introduce relevant software solutions
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations that highlight how our software solves real business challenges
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads, tracking interactions and follow-ups in our CRM system
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for reaching new customers and expanding existing relationships
• Document customer feedback and market insights to help improve our products and sales approach
• Meet weekly and monthly sales targets while continuously learning best practices from senior team members
• Participate in training sessions and product knowledge workshops to deepen your understanding of our software offerings
• Support the sales team with administrative tasks, research, and customer relationship management

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or associate degree is a plus
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple, friendly terms
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation to meet in-person with customers in the AL area (remote work is not available for this position)
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a growing software sales environment
• Professional demeanor with a genuine interest in helping customers succeed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field
• Familiarity with software products or SaaS solutions
• Experience using CRM platforms or sales management tools
• Basic knowledge of business software categories (ERP, CRM, project management, etc.)
• Certification or coursework in sales techniques or business communication

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Comfortable learning and using CRM software and sales tracking tools
• Basic troubleshooting skills for common software and hardware issues
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Time management and multitasking capabilities
