Sales Manager

Key Information:
Work Model: On-site Leadership / Field-based
Compensation: Approximately $150,000 base salary, with GP-based incentives tied to team performance. Expected total earning potential of $150,000 to $250,000+ annually
Experience: 5-10 years

Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with ownership to understand the business, customers, sales strategy, and growth objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop junior sales representatives
- Support accountability, sales activity, pipeline management, and execution
- Monitor gross profit performance and maintain disciplined margin management
- Review pricing, deal structures, and profitability
- Drive territory growth, customer retention, and new business development
- Build strong working relationships with senior and junior sales representatives
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of sales talent
- Analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, trends, and territory results
- Identify opportunities for market expansion and revenue growth
- Work closely with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams
- Contribute to strategic sales planning

Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in chemical distribution sales
- Previous sales leadership, team management, coaching, or mentoring experience
- Strong understanding of gross profit, margins, pricing, and profitability
- Proven track record of building customer relationships and closing business
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Strong commercial judgment and business development skills
- Established relationships within industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or distribution markets preferred
- Based in California or willing to relocate to California
