A Sales Manager ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings. Ensures customer retention and profitability in dealership by training and measuring the performance of salespeople and establishing customer- focused standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the negotiation process with Sales Consultants ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing
  • Desk deals based on current offers and incentives
  • Appraise vehicles for trade
  • Ability to handle and resolve guest issues or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Develop, engage, and motivate the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and best practice processes
  • Weekly team coaching, reporting and accountability meetings with sales team
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate and interact effectively with guests and associates from each department within the dealership
  • Understand, abide by and implement federal, state, and local regulations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
