The Staff Pad has partnered with a rapidly growing roofing and exterior restoration company to identify an experienced Sales Manager to lead, develop, and support a team of sales professionals for its Chicago, IL location.

This role is ideal for a proven roofing sales leader who thrives on coaching others, building winning teams, and driving consistent results.

The Sales Manager will play a critical role in recruiting, training, mentoring, and supporting sales representatives while ensuring exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.

What You'll Do

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new Roofing Consultants and sales team members
  • Provide hands-on field training, ride-alongs, and ongoing coaching to help team members develop confidence and sales proficiency
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals while fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performance culture
  • Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, performance reviews, and sales trainings
  • Monitor sales activity, pipeline performance, and individual production to ensure team goals are achieved
  • Support representatives during inspections, customer meetings, and complex sales situations when needed
  • Serve as a resource for resolving customer concerns and removing obstacles that may impact the customer experience
  • Collaborate with operations, production, and administrative teams to ensure projects move smoothly from contract through completion
  • Establish and reinforce consistent sales processes, best practices, and performance expectations
  • Recognize team achievements and create an environment centered around growth, development, and success
  • Assist with territory growth initiatives and help identify opportunities to increase market presence
  • Act as a key communication bridge between leadership and the sales team, ensuring alignment and accountability

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of roofing industry sales experience or 1-3 years of sales management experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching sales professionals
  • Strong understanding of residential roofing sales, inspections, insurance restoration, or related home service sales environments
  • Ability to develop new sales representatives through structured coaching and field training
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-service mindset
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned market
