Director of Sales

Dhillon Hotel Management is seeking an energetic, results-driven Sales Manager to lead the sales efforts for our growing portfolio in Williston, North Dakota, consisting of two IHG hotels and one Best Western hotel.

Position Summary


The Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and total hotel revenue across all three properties. This position works closely with the General Managers, Revenue Management team, and Corporate Operations to identify new business opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships. Successful hotel Sales Manager typically lead proactive sales efforts, build corporate relationships, analyze market trends, and coordinate with operations to achieve revenue goals.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans.
  • Generate new corporate, crew, government, energy, construction, and group business.
  • Maintain and grow key local and regional accounts.
  • Conduct outside sales calls, prospecting, networking, and client presentations.
  • Negotiate and execute corporate rate agreements.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing and market strategy.
  • Lead weekly sales meetings and provide detailed sales activity reports.
  • Monitor STR reports, market share, production reports, and sales pace.
  • Manage RFP submissions for Marriott, IHG, Best Western, and other corporate opportunities.
  • Represent the hotels at community events, trade shows, and industry organizations.
  • Coordinate with hotel operations to ensure exceptional execution for groups and key accounts.
  • Develop annual marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
  • Achieve occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and revenue goals established by ownership.
Qualifications


  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience.
  • Previous Director of Sales or Senior Sales Manager experience preferred.
  • Experience with IHG and/or Best Western brands is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue management and hotel sales strategies.
  • Experience selling to corporate, industrial, government, crew, and group markets.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel locally for sales calls and networking.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Hotel sales CRM experience.
  • STR and market analysis.
  • RFP management
  •  Opera, or similar hotel systems.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
