Sales Operations Coordinator (ERP Order Management)

Day in the life in Bloomingdale, NJ

You start your morning by reviewing overnight inquiries and prioritizing customer requests. A quick sync with the sales team sets the tone: which quotes need to be finalized, which orders must be expedited, and what presentations are due. You open the ERP, convert approved quotes into accurate sales orders, and double-check product details, pricing, and delivery timelines. By midday, you’re coordinating with operations to keep shipments on track, updating customer records, and polishing slides for an upcoming inside-sales presentation. In the afternoon, you pull metrics, compile a concise performance report for management, and join a team meeting where you share observations that shape the next sales push.

Core responsibilities

  • Serve as a first-line partner to the sales team by triaging customer inquiries and delivering exceptional service.
  • Enter, coordinate, and process sales orders in ERP software with a focus on precision and speed.
  • Prepare sales materials and presentations that support inside sales initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and sales databases.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure on-time delivery of products and services.
  • Track sales performance metrics and produce clear reports for management.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to sales strategy discussions.

What you bring

  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and inside sales.
  • Familiarity with ERP software and sales management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a business or related degree is a plus.
