What's the job?
The Sales & Operations Planning Manager is responsible for leading and orchestrating the CertainTeed Architectural sales and operations planning (S&OP) process to improve service levels, optimize supply chain performance, and reduce total delivered costs. This role partners closely with cross‑functional leaders across Operations, Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Product Management to align demand, supply, inventory, and distribution strategies. The S&OP Manager oversees production planning for the Grid and Panel businesses, supports network and distribution optimization, and plays a key role in integrating Specialty businesses to enable cost‑effective system selling and long‑term growth.

Key Job Functions
- Lead and facilitate the monthly Architectural S&OP process, ensuring cross‑functional alignment on demand, supply, inventory, and service trade‑offs.
- Oversee production and capacity planning for Grid and Panel businesses using forecasts, market indicators, customer opportunities, and supply constraints.
- Manage and develop production planning teams to deliver effective daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with plant capabilities.
- Drive network inventory planning and MRP optimization to balance product availability, inventory investment, and cost performance.
- Coordinate Customer Distribution Planning across the Interior Products Group (IPG) to support optimized margins and sales initiatives.
- Partner with Purchasing to align raw material strategies and ensure continuity of supply while minimizing downtime and cost risk.
- Develop and implement network optimization strategies, including plant sourcing, warehouse utilization, and material transfer plans.
- Support the integration of Specialty businesses and new product lines into the Architectural S&OP framework to enable system selling and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with Customer Service to support service commitments, expedite requirements when needed, and ensure clear communication with customers.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and represent the Architectural business in enterprise-wide digital supply chain and analytics projects.
What do you bring?
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or related fields.-
- Minimum 7 years -- Supply Chain Management, Production Planning
- Minimum 5 years -- Demand planning
- Minimum 5 years -- Leadership and Continuous Improvement
- Experience with programs and systems such as SAP, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, MPS, MRP, DRP, and Forecasting
