Sales & Operations Planning Manager (S&OP Manager)

LHH is seeking a Sales & Operations Planning Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located near Louisville, KY. This newly created role offers the opportunity to establish and lead an enterprise-wide S&OP function within a stable, growing organization. You will improve forecasting, planning, reporting, and business visibility while aligning commercial, operational, supply chain, and financial priorities. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $110,000-130,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and lead the organization's enterprise-wide Sales and Operations Planning process.
• Facilitate monthly demand, supply, capacity, financial, and executive planning reviews.
• Create an integrated plan aligning customer demand, production capacity, inventory, and financial objectives.
• Strengthen forecasting processes, governance, accuracy, accountability, and cross-functional participation.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, reports, and executive-level decision-support materials.
• Evaluate capacity constraints and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
• Translate approved plans into purchasing, scheduling, inventory, and logistics priorities.
• Develop scenarios explaining revenue, margin, service, capacity, and working-capital implications.
• Improve inventory strategies addressing excess, obsolete, and slow-moving materials.
• Establish planning calendars, data definitions, decision rights, and accountability routines.
• Align S&OP activities with budgeting, strategic planning, capital investments, and business growth.
• Improve ERP utilization, data quality, analytical capabilities, and planning visibility.
• Present risks, opportunities, recommendations, action owners, and deadlines to executive leadership.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders and resolve competing priorities without direct authority.
• Support future planning-system implementations, upgrades, integrations, or ERP migration initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Operations Management is required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of S&OP or related supply chain planning experience within manufacturing is required.
• Must have experience leading or significantly improving an S&OP process.
• Must have experience with forecasting tools, dashboards, and ERP and analytical software programs.
• Ideal candidates will have experience with multi-site manufacturing operations.
• Ideal candidates will have experience improving demand forecasts and planning accuracy.
• Must possess strong business acumen and understand the financial impact of operational decisions.
• Must demonstrate excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and project-management skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
