Our Client, a Financial company, is looking for a Sales & Operations Support Specialist for their Chicago, IL location.
Responsibilities:
CRM & Data Maintenance:
Keep Salesforce accurate and up to date by managing account structures (including contacts, contracts, and clawback records) and running regular automated reviews to clean up missing or outdated data.
Contracts & Procurement Coordination: Submit and track contract requests through Zip, Oracle, and Salesforce, and actively follow up with Legal, Supplier Operations, and approvers to clear bottlenecks.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Perform practical data analysis using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet (e.g. VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, graphs) to validate merchant volume, audit pipelines, and pull performance metrics in collaboration with the Data contractor.
Cross-Team Operational Support:
Assist RMs, Marketing, and Product Strategy with operational requests, including gathering required inputs for internal deal review decks (BRIC/Governance/LRC) and consolidating cross-functional updates.
Testing & Operational Execution:
Manage test card ordering, act as a tester for Salesforce system updates, and support process improvement efforts.
Resource Curation & Onboarding: Design, organise, and maintain a central library of master presentation decks, job aids, and process guides ("Gems") to help teams quickly find what they need, as well as supporting the onboarding of new Sales, Marketing, and Product Strategy Associates.
Audit & Compliance Assistance:
Maintain organised activity logs and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with internal audit standards, resolving any gaps identified during internal audits and monitoring exercises.
Requirements:
3+ years of practical experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or commercial support, ideally within Payment Networks or Financial Services.
Systems & Data Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet for data analysis(e.g. pivot tables, formulas), and practical experience with procurement/contract tools(such as Zip or Oracle) and data platforms (such as Snowflake, Tableau).
Cross-Functional Coordination: Demonstrated ability to follow up assertively and work smoothly across multiple teams, such as Sales, Marketing, Product Strategy, Legal, and Finance.
Comfort with Ambiguity & Incomplete Inputs:
Able to take partial information or brief context from RMs, figure out missing details, and execute tasks independently without unnecessary back-and-forth.
Internal Customer Service" Mindset:
Treats RMs, Marketing, and Product teams as internal clients, aiming to make them feel unburdened and supported rather than acting like a rigid process enforcer.
Process-Oriented, Adaptable & Pragmatic:
Instinctively seeks to streamline and document repetitive tasks using structured templates and job aids, while comfortably balancing competing priorities across Sales.
Detail Orientation & Audit Readiness:
A structured approach to data cleanup, document maintenance and archiving, and contract lifecycle management.
