Kforce's client, a successful, long-standing Nassau County, NY based consumer products company, is seeking a Sales Order Processor. The firm offers a nice, fun work environment and culture. Summary: We are seeking a hardworking, and punctual individual to join their team. The ideal order processor is independent, motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer experiences. You will be responsible for making sure that order workflow process is accurate before transmitting orders to the warehouse for fulfillment. Duties include:
  • Entering customer orders into company software and/or EDI
  • Interaction with customers regarding their orders via phone and email
  • Answer incoming customer inquiries
  • Follow-up on customer shipments and tracking customer orders
  • Answering incoming phone calls, taking messages, and redirecting calls as required
  • Obtaining truck quotes online or through brokers for LTL shipments
  • Prepare shipments for customer orders or warehouse transfers via UPS, FEDEX, USPS or LTL (may include labeling, creating packing slips and bill of ladings)
  • Assist other employees with administrative or clerical support

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure with strong work ethic
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to prioritize tasks
  • Excel, Word, and Outlook required, Microsoft Access a plus
  • Knowledge of EDI a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
