Sales Order Specialist

The Sales Order Specialist is responsible for sales order administration, customer support, and intercompany order processing within a supply chain environment. This role supports order management and purchasing activities by processing orders, handling order modifications, managing delivery schedules, coordinating transfers between locations, and ensuring accurate transaction processing in SAP.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing and tracking customer orders, quotes, change requests, and expedited shipments.

• Managing open order and delivery reports, identifying discrepancies, and resolving order-related issues.

• Coordinating intercompany transfer orders and communicating updates to planners and stakeholders.

• Serving as a primary point of contact for internal sales teams and supporting customer inquiries.

• Maintaining order documentation, processing debits, credits, rebills, and other order adjustments.

• Collaborating with customers, sales teams, production, shipping, and purchasing departments to meet delivery requirements.

• Generating reports, maintaining records, and assisting with inventory-related activities.

• Creating purchase requisitions for production and office supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales order processing, customer service, order management, purchasing support, or a related business-to-business environment.

• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and database reporting tools.

• Knowledge of inventory control, purchasing procedures, pricing, quotations, and sales order documentation.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business software systems.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and provide excellent internal and external customer service.

$28-$34 per hour depending on experience
