The Emerging Planning Solutions Team within AWS ensures that our Field and Commercial Operations teams have the world-class data and analytics tools required to scale with our rapidly expanding business. We are seeking a dedicated planning analyst to help transform the way we operate as a key member of our Planning and Workflow Automation Center of Excellence. As an experienced technical user of specialized planning applications, and AWS tools and services, you will work to develop modules that replace email and spreadsheet-based manual processes for operations use cases.

This individual will partner closely with business leaders, operations leaders, and field users, as your primary customers, as you apply your deep technical knowledge of the selected planning and workflow automation solution. The candidate will also partner with the Product team to help turn requirements into workplans, prioritize requests, maintain backlogs and roadmaps, drive adoption through, and ensure the development of the proper infrastructures. The right candidate will have analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high- information into details, and abstract up from low- information to a more general understanding.

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

This position may be based in Seattle (WA), Dallas (TX), Boston (MA), or Herndon (VA). Relocation offered for US residents only.

Key job responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of the business and identify/quantify levers that impact the

business.

Maintain existing Anaplan models and/or 1P solitions, and ensure that the data is accurate, complete, and available in a timely manner.

Identify feature gaps or planning process inefficiencies within the sales organization and translate those needs into model enhancements or new Anaplan model implementations.

Develop back-end and front-end features in Anaplan and/or 1P tools following best practices

Understand existing databases and warehouse structures in order best determine how to

consolidate, aggregate, and utilize data in an efficient and scalable manner.

Work with data engineering team to ensure optimal ingestion and egress patterns are implemented.

Audit model calculations and provide support to end users.

Develop user guides, training materials, and documentation for the end users.
