Principle Toyota of Memphis, part of Principle Automotive, is looking for an energetic and dependable Sales Porter to join our Sales team.

The Sales Porter plays an important role in creating a great first impression for our guests and keeping our dealership running smoothly. From organizing vehicles on the lot and preparing them for guests to assisting our Sales team and maintaining a clean, professional dealership environment, you'll help ensure every guest receives the exceptional experience they expect from Principle Toyota.

What You'll Do

As a Sales Porter, you'll support our Sales team while helping maintain the appearance, organization, and flow of vehicles throughout the dealership.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide exceptional service to our guests and support fellow associates throughout the dealership.
• Move and park new and pre-owned vehicles safely and efficiently throughout the dealership property.
• Organize and maintain vehicle inventory to ensure the sales lot is clean, orderly, and guest-ready.
• Retrieve and stage vehicles for guests and Sales Consultants as needed.
• Assist with preparing vehicles for test drives, deliveries, and customer appointments.
• Ensure vehicles are properly parked, secured, and positioned according to dealership standards.
• Help maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of vehicles and sales lot areas.
• Inspect vehicles for obvious damage and promptly communicate concerns to management.
• Assist with dealership inventory activities and vehicle location as needed.
• Transport vehicles to designated locations, including other dealership or vendor locations, when required.
• Assist guests with transferring personal items to or from their vehicles when appropriate.
• Maintain keys and follow dealership vehicle and key-control procedures.
• Communicate vehicle locations, guest needs, and requests to Sales Consultants and management.
• Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Follow directions and dealership processes while maintaining a safe working environment.
• Participate in required training and development programs.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the Sales department and dealership operations.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal Sales Porter is energetic, dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission is a plus.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable interacting professionally with guests and fellow associates.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on assigned responsibilities.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that may include Saturdays and holidays based on business needs.
• Ability to drive longer distances when business needs require vehicle transportation.
• Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background investigation, drug screening, and motor vehicle record review.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires frequent movement throughout the dealership and vehicle lot. Associates must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Move quickly and safely throughout the dealership property.
• Frequently enter and exit vehicles.
• Work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Lift, carry, push, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform the essential functions of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
