Role Summary:
At Indeck Ladysmith Biofuel Center, we manufacture premium wood pellets for residential heating, BBQ grilling, and animal bedding markets.   We are one of the few producers nationwide that have been certified by the Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI) Standards Program and are known for consistent product quality and dependable supply.  Indeck Ladysmith, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Indeck Energy Services, Inc.

We are seeking a Sales Manager with B2B experience to expand our market footprint, strengthen retail and distribution partnerships, and lead strategic growth initiatives across the country. The qualified candidate will be a relationship builder with the ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.

This position will be based out of our corporate office in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Onsite position, M-F 8am – 5pm, Buffalo Grove, Illinois. 
  • Lead B2B sales through the acquisition of new accounts.
  • Own annual sales targets and margin performance.
  • Expand market share in hardware, co-op, regional retail, and big box retail networks.
  • Analyze market data to develop and implement sales plans to increase business.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term channel strategies.
  • Prepare bid proposals and negotiate pricing for new sales opportunities.
  • Develop distribution partnerships and logistics strategies.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create brand awareness.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
  • Provide field insight to support product development.
  • Analyze regional sales data and competitive trends.
  • Forecast seasonal demand and manage pipeline activities.
  • Generate sales activity reports as requested.
  • Lead customer service initiatives interfacing between the plant and its customers.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Aggressive prospecting mindset with focus on building pipeline and closing new business.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of B2B sales and marketing experience ideally in:
    • Consumer packaged goods.
    • Hardware or co-op distribution.
    • Fuel, biomass, forestry, or building materials.
    • Outdoor living/grilling categories.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing/Business Administration preferred.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • CRM experience preferred.

Employment Type: Full Time - Onsite.
