About Blair Commercial Painting

Blair Commercial Painting, LLC is an award-winning commercial painting contractor serving Southeastern Wisconsin. As a proud member of the Painting Contractors Association, we provide commercial interior and exterior painting services for:

  • Office buildings
  • Industrial facilities
  • Retail centers
  • Multi-family properties
  • Educational facilities
  • Healthcare buildings
  • Homeowners associations
  • Other commercial properties

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Representative - Commercial Painting to help grow our Direct-to-Owner division.

This is a relationship-focused sales position for someone who enjoys meeting decision-makers, building trust, identifying customer needs, and closing profitable commercial painting projects. You will develop new business while maintaining relationships with previous and existing customers.

This is not a blueprint estimating or plan-and-spec bidding position. You will not be responsible for preparing detailed takeoffs for large construction projects. Instead, you will identify sales opportunities, conduct customer meetings and site visits, and work with our estimating and operations teams to develop winning proposals.

What You'll Do

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities
  • Meet with business owners, property managers, facility managers, HOA board members, and other commercial decision-makers
  • Identify upcoming painting, maintenance, repainting, and capital improvement needs
  • Generate leads through prospecting, referrals, networking, previous customers, and local business relationships
  • Reconnect with past customers to generate repeat business
  • Conduct site visits to understand customer needs and gather project information
  • Ask effective questions to identify customer priorities, timelines, budgets, and concerns
  • Work with the estimating team to develop accurate proposals and recommended project solutions
  • Present proposals and clearly communicate project scope, value, scheduling, and expectations
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and customers
  • Negotiate agreements and close profitable projects
  • Manage opportunities from initial contact through project award
  • Coordinate a smooth handoff of awarded projects to the operations team
  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and follow-up information in the company CRM
  • Attend local networking events, business organizations, and industry association meetings
  • Represent Blair Commercial Painting with professionalism, honesty, and a customer-first mindset
  • Build long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in outside sales, business development, account management, or relationship-based sales
  • A successful track record of generating leads, developing opportunities, and closing business
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Confidence speaking with business owners, property managers, facility managers, and other decision-makers
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage a sales territory independently
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills
  • A professional appearance and demeanor
  • A customer-first approach with a strong commitment to follow-through
  • Comfort visiting commercial and industrial properties
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout Southeastern Wisconsin
  • Honesty, dependability, accountability, and a strong work ethic

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful but not required:

  • Commercial painting
  • Construction services
  • Facility services
  • Building maintenance
  • Property management services
  • Commercial contracting
  • Business-to-business service sales
  • CRM software
  • Google Workspace
  • CompanyCam or similar business technology

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 employment
  • Base salary of $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience
  • Realistic first-year earning potential of $110,000 - $150,000+
  • Uncapped performance-based commissions
  • Performance bonus opportunities
  • Vehicle allowance
  • Company phone
  • Company laptop
  • Weekly pay
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Company contribution toward health insurance premiums
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Ongoing sales training and professional development
  • Clear advancement opportunities as the company continues to grow

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Primarily daytime hours
  • Occasional evening networking events or customer meetings
  • Local travel throughout Southeastern Wisconsin

Why Join Blair Commercial Painting?

Join one of Southeastern Wisconsin's most respected commercial painting contractors and take an active role in growing our Direct-to-Owner division. You will sell based on relationships, service, and value rather than simply competing on the lowest price. This role gives you the freedom to build and manage your own sales territory, develop long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business, and work directly with an owner who values integrity, accountability, and follow-through. You will receive support from an experienced estimating and operations team while representing a company known for exceptional craftsmanship, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. Your performance will be rewarded through significant commission and bonus opportunities, with the potential to grow into future leadership roles as the company expands.
