Position Summary:

Harcros is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to support business growth within an assigned geographic territory. Reporting to the District Manager, this role is responsible for selling chemicals, ingredients, and related services while developing and maintaining strong relationships with commercial, industrial, and technical customers. The Chemical Sales Representative serves as the primary customer contact, promoting product value, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell chemical products, ingredients, and services to commercial and industrial customers.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen customer relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, pricing structures, and sales opportunities to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Process customer orders and maintain accurate sales and delivery records.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share.
  • Prepare order forms, sales contracts, and other sales documentation.
  • Keep customers informed about new products, services, and promotional offerings.
  • Address customer concerns, resolve service issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Set up product displays and promotional materials to support sales initiatives.
  • Monitor the effectiveness and cost efficiency of sales promotions.
  • Partner with the District Manager to increase operating profits and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and departments to meet sales goals and support company success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to:
  • Read, analyze, and interpret business documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
  • Write reports and professional business correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Perform mathematical calculations involving discounts, commissions, percentages, and related sales metrics.
  • Solve problems and manage situations that may be varied and non-routine.
  • Effectively utilize Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Marketing, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 1-3 years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience and/or relevant training.
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Interest in building a long-term career in chemical sales and business development.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Frequent work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Regular travel within the assigned sales territory to meet with customers and prospects.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
