    Description

    Culinary Depot is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to grow our business within assigned territories by selling commercial foodservice equipment and kitchen solutions to public-sector customers, including K-12 schools, colleges and universities, healthcare systems, municipalities, correctional facilities, military organizations, and other government-funded institutions.

    The ideal candidate has experience selling commercial foodservice equipment and understands commercial kitchen operations, installations, and customer needs. Government sales experience is a plus but not required. We will provide training on government purchasing processes, cooperative purchasing contracts, and bid procedures.

    You will be supported by a dedicated internal team that handles estimating, bids, documentation, project coordination, customer service, and operational support, allowing you to focus on what you do best—building relationships, identifying opportunities, and growing sales.

    Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain relationships with public-sector customers within the assigned territory.
    • Develop new business opportunities through customer visits, networking, outreach, referrals, and territory management.
    • Conduct site visits to assess customer needs, coordinate installations, and recommend commercial kitchen equipment solutions.
    • Identify opportunities early in the project lifecycle and help guide equipment specifications before projects go out to bid.
    • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and accurate CRM records.
    • Partner with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
    • Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed for customer meetings, site visits, trade shows, and manufacturer training.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of outside sales experience selling commercial foodservice equipment or related products.
    • Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, installations, and foodservice operations.
    • Ability to build trust with customers through technical knowledge and consultative selling.
    • Experience understanding installation requirements, electrical specifications, and troubleshooting is preferred.
    • Proven ability to manage a full sales cycle from prospecting through close.
    • Experience with AutoQuotes (AQ)
    • Government, education, healthcare, or institutional sales experience is preferred but not required.
    • Strong communication, presentation, organization, and follow-up skills.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently.Pay: Base salary + bonus ($80,000–$120,000 OTE).
