Sales Representative – Freight Forwarding (New York, NY)

A boutique, fast-growing freight forwarding company in New York is seeking a Sales Representative to expand our customer base, develop strategic partnerships, and help scale our operations. What We're Looking For



  • Freight Forwarding Sales Experience: 3+ years in international logistics sales (ocean, air, customs brokerage, trucking)

  • Proven Business Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow accounts

  • Book of Business: Existing client relationships strongly preferred

  • Self-Starter: Comfortable working in a small-company environment with autonomy

  • Client-Focused: Strong relationship management and consultative selling skills



Compensation



  • Base Salary: $60,000 – $95,000 (based on experience and book of business)

  • Uncapped Commission:Aggressive commission structure with no cap



Responsibilities



  • Drive new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals

  • Develop and maintain a strong book of business

  • Sell international logistics solutions including:


    • Ocean & Air Freight

    • Customs Brokerage

    • Domestic Trucking (FTL/LTL)

    • Warehousing & Distribution

    • Project Cargo / Specialized Services


  • Build long-term client relationships and grow existing accounts

  • Work closely with operations to ensure service execution

  • Provide customized supply chain solutions for clients

  • Track pipeline and opportunities using CRM

  • Stay informed on market trends, rates, and trade lanes



Qualifications



  • Freight forwarding sales experience required

  • Existing book of business required

  • Knowledge of international import/export logistics

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools

  • Reliable transportation for client meetings

  • Authorized to work in the United States



Work Schedule



  • Monday – Friday

  • Hybrid / New York Metro Area

  • Travel within NY/NJ/CT/PA for client meetings
