Position Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and selling HVAC systems, products, maintenance agreements, and related services to residential and/or commercial customers. This position plays a critical role in company growth by identifying customer needs, preparing estimates and proposals, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.

The ideal candidate is motivated, customer-focused, knowledgeable about HVAC systems, and capable of building long-term client relationships while consistently meeting sales goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with residential and commercial customers.
  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, prospecting, and lead follow-up.
  • Conduct on-site visits to evaluate customer HVAC needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and sales presentations.
  • Explain HVAC equipment features, financing options, warranties, and maintenance programs to customers.
  • Collaborate with installation and service teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow up with customers before, during, and after installations or service work.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records within company CRM systems.
  • Stay informed regarding current HVAC products, technologies, rebates, and industry trends.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Participate in company meetings, training programs, and ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Basic computer and CRM proficiency.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Experience in HVAC, construction, in-home sales, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with load calculations, equipment sizing, and energy efficiency programs.
  • Experience using sales software or estimating platforms.
