Position: Sales Representative, Industry Partners
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for assigned portfolio of furniture manufacturer partners.
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and white space opportunities within the contract furniture and textiles industry.
Create and maintain strategic roadmaps for each key account, aligning partner objectives with Maharam's growth initiatives.
Lead biannual business reviews with partners to assess performance, identify growth opportunities, and align strategic priorities.
Sales Performance & Growth Management
Drive measurable revenue growth across all three brands through data-driven sales strategies and tactical execution.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including revenue growth, market share expansion, pipeline development, and customer retention rates.
Implement systematic sales forecasting processes to ensure accurate revenue projections and resource allocation.
Develop and track metrics for partnership effectiveness, including co-marketing campaign performance and joint business plan success rates.
Client Opportunity Development & Expansion
Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities within existing partner networks and adjacent market segments
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments with clients to uncover expansion opportunities across multiple product lines
Develop customized proposals and presentations that demonstrate clear value propositions and ROI for potential clients
Collaborate with internal teams including design, product development, and marketing to create tailored solutions that meet specific client requirements
Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers including purchasing managers, designers, and facility managers
Customer Relationship Analysis & Optimization
Perform detailed analysis of customer engagement patterns, purchasing behaviors, and satisfaction levels to identify potential vulnerabilities
Develop and implement customer retention strategies addressing identified weaknesses in service delivery, product offering, or communication
Create systematic feedback collection processes to continuously monitor customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement
Design and execute customer recovery plans for at-risk accounts, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Establish regular touchpoint schedules with key customers to maintain relationship strength and early warning systems for potential issues
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making
Provide regular market intelligence reports to leadership team regarding opportunities, threats, and recommended strategic responses
Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to maintain market visibility and gather competitive intelligence
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experience in contract furniture, textiles, or related B2B industries.
Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in complex, relationship-driven sales environments.
Core Competencies
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans with measurable results.
Strong analytical skills with experience in sales performance measurement and data-driven decision making.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Experience in identifying and developing new market opportunities and revenue streams.
Demonstrated success in customer relationship management and retention strategies.

Compensation range for this role is $54,125.00 - $70,375.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
