Gilroy GMC is seeking a dedicated and motivated Sales Representative & Internet Sales professional to join our team in Gilroy, CA. The position offers a competitive compensation of $16.50 per hour + commission.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their vehicle needs and preferences, offering expert guidance and product knowledge.
- Manage internet sales inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring timely follow-up and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and facilitate test drives, vehicle demonstrations, and sales transactions in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation within the dealership’s CRM system.
- Collaborate with the sales team and management to achieve established sales targets and contribute to overall dealership success.
- Stay informed about current automotive industry trends, product updates, and competitor activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive sales or a related customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
- Proficiency in managing online sales platforms and digital communication tools.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, demonstrating a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic dealership environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Approach and greet customer with a smile and positive attitude. Build rapport to determine the needs of the customer by listening and asking questions.
- Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
- Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
- Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
- Build strong rapport with customers.
- Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles.
- Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards.
- Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analysis.
- Respond to and or resolve customer issues related to orders and products.
- Maintain professional growth and development by keeping abreast of product knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Comfortable with compensation based on commission sales
- Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales workday
- Outgoing with a friendly personality, especially while handling objections & negotiating pricing
- Possess strong communication skills
- Must have a clean & valid driver’s license
