Ally Energy Solutions are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Representative to secure power factor correction service customers in the Kansas territory. The primary purpose of this role is to drive business development across approximately 5,000 commercial and industrial utility accounts served by the Evergy electric utility. The representative will target these accounts through a variety of means, secure utility bills, forward bills internally for analysis of potential energy cost savings. The candidate will collaborate with an internal development team in order to propose turn-key energy efficiency solutions to prospects.
\nThe ideal candidate will have experience selling energy efficiency, energy generation, or electrical services to industrial/manufacturing customers. However, any technical sales experience to industrials will be considered. The candidate will receive training on the suite of products & services offered by Ally.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nTerritory Target Identification: Proactively prospect and engage key facility managers, energy engineers, and plant operations leadership across Evergy’s commercial/industrial account base in Kansas.
\nField Sales & Relationship Building: Maintain an active field presence by meeting with end-users, and actively participating in regional trade associations (e.g., KSPE, IEEE, local manufacturing councils).
\nUtility Bill & Tariff Auditing: Secure monthly utility bills from prospective accounts to accurately analyze potential energy cost savings.
\nTechnical Proposal Generation: Collaborate and coordinate with an internal technical team with an objective of multiple formal proposals per week.
\nDeal Closure: Work with internal team to present proposals, schedule site audits, project delivery and installation.
\nCandidate Qualifications:
\nProven Consultative Sales Record: 3 to 5+ years of B2B sales experience preferably involving an energy savings or energy generation proposition from industrial electrical equipment, power quality solutions, solar, or energy efficiency services.
\nPipeline Management & Discipline: Demonstrated track record of maintaining a high-volume funnel to consistently generate 2–3 technical proposals weekly.
\nNetworking & Industry Engagement: Ability to establish presence or active involvement in Kansas industrial/engineering associations, regional trade groups, or chambers of commerce.
