    Description

Our client is a well-established, growth-oriented organization with a strong North American footprint in a specialized product distribution and solutions-based environment. The company is known for its collaborative culture, hands-on training approach, and long-tenured team. This role offers the opportunity to step into a visible, relationship-driven position with clear impact and long-term growth potential.

    Position Overview

The Sales Representative will take ownership of a defined territory, focused on driving business growth through a combination of new client acquisition and expansion of existing relationships. This is a consultative, relationship-first sales role where success comes from understanding customer needs, developing trust, and delivering practical solutions.

This position also includes hands-on product exposure and real-world applications, making it ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the field, learning how products are used, and partnering closely with customers.

    Core Responsibilities
    • Drive revenue growth by developing new business while maintaining and expanding existing accounts
    • Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers, serving as a key point of contact and advisor
    • Execute a structured sales process, including prospecting, qualification, presentations, and closing
    • Develop and manage a territory plan, using data and activity tracking to prioritize efforts and improve results
    • Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and solution-based discussions with customers
    • Learn product lines and applications in a hands-on environment, including occasional field-based exposure
    • Prepare proposals, quotes, and reporting materials to support the sales process and leadership updates
    • Identify additional opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate internally to capture them
    • Partner with cross-functional team members to ensure a seamless customer experience, especially for multi-location or national clients

    What Success Looks Like

    • Consistently hitting or exceeding sales targets
    • Building a strong pipeline of new opportunities
    • Expanding key customer relationships over time
    • Becoming a trusted resource for both customers and internal teams
    • Demonstrating a proactive, ownership mindset across the territory

    Qualifications

    Required Experience & Skills:

    • 3+ years of experience in a B2B, technical, or product-based sales environment
    • Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities
    • Ability to manage a full sales cycle independently
    • Comfortable working in both office and field-based environments
    • Willingness to travel approximately 50% for client meetings, events, and trade engagement
    • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools

    Preferred Background:

    • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
    • Self-starter with strong follow-through and accountability
    • Experience in a hands-on, application-based product environment
    • Ability to balance technical understanding with a customer-focused sales approach

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Base salary range: $50,000 – $80,000, with additional variable/incentive compensation being developed
    • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, disability, and life insurance
    • Retirement plan with employer match
    • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule
    • Annual bonus and additional incentive opportunities
    • Company-supported travel expenses with provided corporate card

    Work Environment

This is an on-site role with flexibility built around customer needs and travel. The organization offers a team-oriented, down-to-earth environment where employees are supported, trained, and given the autonomy to succeed. It’s a strong fit for someone who values stability, hands-on learning, and the opportunity to grow with a business over time.
