About the Role 

Ellis Career & Talent is hiring multiple highly motivated, hungry sales closers to join our team at the ground floor. This is a commission‑only, 1099 independent contractor role designed for individuals who thrive in a fast‑moving startup environment and want uncapped earning potential. 

You will play a direct role in building our sales department from scratch, shaping our outbound strategy, and helping drive the company's early growth. This position requires independence, resilience, and the ability to generate and close your own leads without a pre‑built funnel or base salary.

What You'll Do 

• Run the full sales cycle from prospecting pitching closing 

• Generate your own leads through outbound calling, email outreach, and networking 

• Build relationships with small‑business owners and decision makers 

• Help develop and refine our sales processes, scripts, and outreach strategy 

• Work directly with the Founder/CEO to shape the future of the sales department 

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and client satisfaction 

• Track activity, pipeline, and performance metrics independently 

Compensation Structure (Commission‑Only) 

Compensation 

This position is a 100% commission‑only role with no base salary or hourly pay. Sales Representatives are hired as 1099 independent contractors and earn commission when clients complete payment for services. 

Earning Potential 

Commission rates range from 30% to 40%, depending on the service sold, with opportunities to earn high‑ticket commissions on HR and Talent Acquisition packages. Monthly renewal bonuses are also available for long‑term clients. 

Payouts 

Commission is released upon payment of the client's final invoice. Payments are sent electronically on a bi‑weekly schedule.

Requirements 

• 1–3+ years of sales experience (B2B preferred) 

• Strong closing ability 

• Comfortable with outbound calling 

• Ability to work independently 

• Reliable internet and phone setup 

• Must be legally able to work as a 1099 independent contractor
