Job Description

The Sales Supervisor supports the General Manager in the achievement of driving sales, credit, miscellaneous revenue, expense management, and planned cost recovery goals. The Sales Supervisor ensures that corporate programs and processes are executed in a way that maximizes store profit through superior customer service and associate sales execution and productivity. Along with the General Manager, the Sales Supervisor ensures that the store's presentation standards are maintained at the highest possible level. The Sales Supervisor is also a role model within the unit for abiding by and holding others accountable to the overall business practices. Leads by example with the highest level of integrityLeads the store sales culture to ensure sales goals are achieved and revenue is maximizedAssists the General Manager with expense reduction, cost recovery, customersatisfaction, inventory shrinkage and associate moraleManages Human Resources (HR) transactional processes in staffing and training; assists in action plans to improve overall individual and store performanceSelects, coaches, and develops strong and effective Lead Associates; develops a diverse, high-performance team; sets and manages high standards, which includes taking decisive action with underperformers; and focuses on positioning high performers for growth opportunities within the storeSupervises a team of associates who provide consultative selling and service for customers, including training, coaching and performance evaluations, utilizing the American Freight Professional Selling Process and Observation Tools.Acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when neededMaximizes Furniture Protection Plans (FPP), Financing (AFF), and other Miscellaneous Income opportunities within the storeEnsure consistency of merchandising execution and operational processes within the storeEnsures that the store operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Company Code of Conduct and ethics policiesProvides a safe working environment for both Associates and CustomersPerforms other duties as assigned As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, American Freight provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, achieving sales goals, maximizing bonus potential, skill set, level of experience, and cultural fit. The range of pay for this role is $45,000 to $62,000 per year.
