Job Title: Sales Support Representative

Location: Exton, PA (Onsite)

Department: Sales

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional travel and extended hours as needed)

Reports To: Sales Support Manager

Position Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth through new business development, account expansion, and strategic customer relationship management within the industrial ingredients and seasonings space.

This role partners cross-functionally with Research & Development, Logistics, Accounting, and Operations to deliver tailored ingredient solutions that meet customer technical and commercial needs.

This position is ideal for a results-driven, relationship-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, solution-oriented B2B sales environment.

What You Will Do

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within target markets
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts through strategic upselling and cross-selling initiatives
  • Develop and deliver customer presentations, proposals, and pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with R&D to support product development, sample requests, and commercialization efforts
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements in alignment with company objectives
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM documentation
  • Monitor order progression and customer satisfaction in partnership with Sales Support and Operations
  • Analyze market trends, customer buying patterns, and competitive positioning
  • Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events as required

  • Revenue growth (new and existing accounts)
  • Gross margin performance
  • New account acquisition rate
  • Customer retention and expansion metrics
  • Sales pipeline velocity and forecast accuracy

 

What You Will Bring

  • Strong consultative selling skills in a B2B environment
  • Ability to translate technical ingredient functionality into commercial value
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
  • Self-motivated with a high level of accountability

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience (food ingredients, flavors, seasonings, or CPG manufacturing preferred)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with R&D and Operations teams is a plus

 

Food Safety, Quality & Compliance (if applicable)

This role may require adherence to: - GMP, HACCP, Allergen Control, and SSOP standards - Accurate documentation and traceability practices - Audit or recall support activities as directed

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds
  • Travel as required for client meetings and industry events
