Sales Support Specialist

StaffBuffalo is partnering with a growing organization in the Buffalo area to hire a Sales Support Specialist, offering $55,000–$65,000 per year. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with clients, supporting strategic initiatives, and working closely with leadership while also keeping projects organized and moving forward.
As the Sales Support Specialist, you'll play an important role in supporting the company's business development efforts through prospect engagement, relationship building, client communication, and sales coordination. This is not a traditional sales role, but it is also much more than an administrative position. You'll help leadership develop new business opportunities, coordinate outreach and follow-up efforts, engage prospective clients at conferences and networking events, and ensure important initiatives continue progressing. The ideal Sales Support Specialist is outgoing, proactive, organized, and comfortable balancing client interaction with operational support in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
This is a full-time, in-person position in the Buffalo area with occasional travel required for conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business growth initiatives by engaging prospective clients through phone calls, email outreach, networking events, and industry conferences.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients while coordinating timely follow-up and ongoing communication.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to support business development strategies, client engagement, and sales initiatives.
- Coordinate meetings, presentations, proposals, and outreach efforts while ensuring opportunities continue progressing through the sales process.
- Maintain organized records of prospect activity, communications, and follow-up using CRM and internal tracking systems.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support client relationships, business development initiatives, and operational projects.
- Represent the organization professionally at conferences, trade shows, and networking events as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in business development support, sales support, client services, account coordination, customer relationship management, or a related role.
- Confident, outgoing personality with the ability to comfortably engage new people and build professional relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel by car and/or air as business needs require.
