Target Compensation: $70,000–$80,000

Key Responsibilities for the Sales Tax Accountant:

• 
  
• Prepare and support sales and use tax filings across multiple state and local jurisdictions.
• 
  
• Research tax requirements and manage registrations as the business expands into new jurisdictions.
• 
  
• Reconcile sales tax accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• 
  
• Maintain exemption documentation and support sales tax audits, notices, and compliance requests.
• 
  
• Partner with accounting and operations teams to improve sales tax processes and reporting.
• 
  

Qualifications for the Sales Tax Accountant:

• 
  
• 4+ years of sales and use tax, indirect tax, or related accounting/compliance experience.
• 
  
• Experience with multi-state sales tax filings, registrations, and jurisdictional requirements.
• 
  
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP or accounting systems; Sage Intacct experience preferred.
• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Taxation, or a related field preferred.
•
