Role: Salesforce Architect

Business Alignment & Solution Design

• Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable Salesforce architecture and solution designs.
• Present viable solution options, architectural recommendations, and design trade-offs to support informed business and technical decision-making.
• Ensure current and future solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, data governance requirements, and security policies.
• Consult throughout the design process, leveraging the Salesforce Public Sector Solutions object model and collaborating with implementation partners to determine optimal solution approaches.

End-to-End Solution Architecture

• Coordinate with implementation partners on the design and implementation of an integrated Salesforce solution encompassing multiple modules and enterprise systems.
• Review and refine overall system architecture, including data flows, integrations, and component interactions across Salesforce, MuleSoft, and connected enterprise platforms.
• Ensure consistency and architectural coherence across workstreams while preventing siloed technical decision-making.
• Review, refine, and enhance Salesforce functional and technical documentation to ensure adherence to architectural best practices for performance, flexibility, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Review technical designs and provide architectural recommendations for enhancements to existing solutions and proposed functionality.
• Provide strategic oversight and governance of end-to-end solution architecture, ensuring designs are scalable, secure, interoperable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Evaluate Salesforce product releases, roadmap capabilities, and new features to determine their applicability to the organization's Salesforce environment.

Integration & Data Architecture

• Collaborate with integration and data teams to define, design, and optimize interfaces between Salesforce and other enterprise applications.
• Understand technical interdependencies and evaluate the impact of proposed changes across connected systems.
• Guide data modeling, master data management, synchronization, and data-quality strategies across platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance on the appropriate use of Salesforce SOAP API, REST API, and Bulk API.

Technical Leadership & Governance

• Lead and provide technical direction to the internal Salesforce development team.
• Mentor developers and technical team members on Salesforce architecture, development standards, and platform best practices.
• Develop and review solution designs and code to ensure compliance with architectural standards and industry best practices.
• Establish and enforce technical governance aligned with enterprise architecture, data, and security standards.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers to maintain high-quality development practices.
• Review technical team deliverables for compliance with architectural guidelines, standards, and Salesforce best practices.
• Establish governance, standards, and best practices throughout the complete application lifecycle, including design, development, change control, UAT, deployment, and production support.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate closely with technical, functional, business, and external implementation teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end solution delivery.
• Identify opportunities to optimize architecture, improve application performance, and maximize Salesforce platform capabilities.
• Stay current with Salesforce and integration-platform releases and provide recommendations regarding enhancements and roadmap impacts.
• Review existing Salesforce configurations and implementation approaches to identify architectural gaps, technical risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Assess custom code and integrations and recommend improvements based on Salesforce architectural best practices.
• Support Agile and DevOps methodologies, including Copado and CI/CD pipelines.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Salesforce certifications are required.
• Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions is preferred.
