Business Analyst, PMO

Opportunity

The Business Analyst serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating business needs into scalable technology solutions and ensuring system capabilities align with organizational objectives. This role requires a detail-oriented and innovative professional who can bridge business processes and technical solutions across current programs, projects, and initiatives.

This position has a strong focus on Salesforce and requires hands-on experience supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud environments. The Business Analyst will work closely with business users, Salesforce administrators, developers, and project teams to gather requirements, optimize business processes, and deliver Salesforce-based solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.

Responsibilities include analyzing business needs, defining system requirements, documenting functional specifications, supporting Salesforce enhancements, and participating throughout the full project lifecycle.


Primary Responsibilities

IT Strategy and Planning

  • Demonstrate business and system expertise by analyzing business problems, providing solution options, developing functional specifications, and executing project tasks.

  • Partner with business stakeholders and Salesforce technical teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.

  • Assist with the identification, analysis, and resolution of Salesforce application issues.

  • Provide analysis supporting Salesforce enhancements, integrations, new implementations, and business cases.

Salesforce Business Analysis

  • Gather, document, and validate Salesforce business requirements across Sales, Service, and related business functions.

  • Translate business requirements into Salesforce functional specifications, user stories, workflows, reports, dashboards, and configuration requirements.

  • Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators and Developers on system design, testing, deployment, and user adoption.

  • Evaluate Salesforce functionality and recommend process improvements leveraging native platform capabilities whenever possible.

User Experience Analysis

  • Create project documentation for current-state and future-state solutions.

  • Document meeting notes, key decisions, risks, business requirements, and design specifications.

  • Work effectively within an Agile framework by assisting in sprint planning, writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting testing activities.

  • Provide reporting and documentation throughout project execution.

Requirements Elicitation

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with multiple business units.

  • Identify end-to-end business solutions by evaluating current business processes, process improvements, Salesforce functionality, and system capabilities.

Requirements Definition and Management

  • Develop functional, reporting, security, and technical requirements.

  • Work closely with developers, Salesforce Administrators, and QA teams throughout design, development, testing, and implementation.

  • Ensure requirements are fully documented and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance

  • Manage and coordinate project-related tasks and activities to ensure timely completion.

  • Manage small projects or project teams as needed.

  • Support QA efforts by performing unit testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validating Salesforce enhancements.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, QA, Developers, and business stakeholders during implementation and deployment.

  • Serve as the liaison between business teams and IT throughout project delivery.


Qualifications

Project Analysis

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.

  • Organize and communicate complex information to stakeholders.

  • Identify and resolve project risks, issues, constraints, and key decisions.

  • Clearly communicate project status, risks, and recommendations.

  • Excellent collaboration, influencing, and listening skills.

  • Adapt to shifting priorities and changing business needs.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Tracking and Reporting

  • Create clear and concise project documentation including status reports, issue logs, risk logs, decision logs, and project artifacts.

  • Support Project Managers or independently lead smaller initiatives when needed.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 3+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting Salesforce implementations, enhancements, or enterprise CRM initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.

  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into Salesforce functional specifications.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, SDLC, requirements gathering, and business process mapping.

  • Experience creating Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.

  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams from initiation through implementation.

  • Strong process mapping skills (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).

  • Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work onsite three days per week.

Preferred

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification.

  • Salesforce Business Analyst Certification.

  • Experience supporting Salesforce integrations and third-party applications.

  • Experience working with Salesforce reports, dashboards, workflows, Flow, and security.

  • PMI-PBA, CBAP, CAPM, CSM, or other Agile certifications.

  • Experience within construction, real estate, or enterprise operations environments.
