Job Title: Salesforce Delivery Lead
Location: Tysons Corner, VA (Hybrid / Remote)
Duration: Fulltime
 
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Delivery Lead to lead our Salesforce practice and provide delivery governance across key client engagements, with specific oversight of DevOps, Release Management, and QA/Quality Engineering.
The ideal candidate will combine strong Salesforce technical knowledge, practice leadership, client consulting, delivery governance, pre-sales, and team development experience.
This is not primarily a hands-on development role; however, the candidate must be technically strong enough to review solution approaches, challenge architecture decisions, identify risks, and provide direction to Architects, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and QA teams.
 
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Practice Leadership

• Lead Salesforce practice strategy, roadmap, capabilities, and growth.
• Develop reusable implementation frameworks, accelerators, and delivery standards.
• Manage practice KPIs, resource planning, skills development, and certifications.
• Mentor Architects, Technical Leads, Developers, DevOps, QA, and consulting teams.
• Drive adoption of Agentforce, Data Cloud, AI, and emerging Salesforce capabilities.

 
Solution & Delivery Leadership

• Provide architecture and delivery oversight for enterprise Salesforce solutions.
• Review solutions for scalability, security, integrations, performance, and platform best practices.
• Identify and manage technical and delivery risks.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client and internal stakeholders.

 
DevOps & Release Governance

• Provide governance for CI/CD, source control, environments, deployments, and releases.
• Establish release readiness, quality gates, approval, and rollback processes.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement across Salesforce DevOps.
• Experience with Flosum, Copado, Gearset, Salesforce DevOps Center, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools preferred.

 
QA & Quality Engineering

• Provide oversight of QA strategy, regression testing, integration/API testing, and test automation.
• Establish defect management, quality metrics, and release quality standards.
• Drive increased automation and reduction of production defects.

 
Pre-Sales & Business Development

• Support Salesforce RFIs/RFPs, proposals, solutioning, estimates, and staffing models.
• Participate in client discovery, technical presentations, and solution reviews.
• Support Salesforce partnerships and identification of new opportunities.

 
Required Experience

• 12-15+ years of overall technology consulting / enterprise delivery experience.
• 8-10+ years of Salesforce experience.
• 5+ years in architecture, delivery leadership, practice leadership, or Principal Consultant roles.
• Experience leading complex enterprise Salesforce implementations.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, security, integrations, data, Apex/LWC/Flow concepts, and platform best practices.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and environment management.
• Experience leading QA, test automation, defect management, and release quality governance.
• Strong Agile/Scrum and SAFe delivery experience.
• Demonstrated client-facing and executive stakeholder management experience.
• Experience supporting proposals, RFPs, estimates, and pre-sales solutioning.
• Proven team leadership and mentoring experience.

 
Preferred Salesforce Experience
Experience across several of the following:

• Service Cloud
• Experience Cloud
• Sales Cloud
• Health Cloud
• Government Cloud / Government Cloud Plus
• OmniStudio
• Data Cloud
• Agentforce
• Salesforce APIs and enterprise integrations

Experience supporting Federal Government, Healthcare, or other regulated environments is preferred.
Salesforce Certifications
Required / Expected

• Salesforce Administrator
• Platform App Builder and/or Platform Developer I
• At least 3 Salesforce Architect-level certification, such as:
  • Integration Architect
  • Data Architect
  • Sharing & Visibility Architect
  • Identity & Access Management Architect

 
Strongly Preferred

• Salesforce Application Architect
• Salesforce System Architect
• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
• Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, or AI/Agentforce certifications

 
Additional Preferred Certifications

• SAFe Agilist / SAFe Practice Consultant
• CSM, PMI-ACP, or PMP
• AWS or Azure certification
• DevOps/CI-CD or Quality Engineering certification

 
Compensation:
The expected compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $190,000 annually. Compensation is determined in good faith and may vary based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, clearance level, labor category alignment, contract requirements, work location, internal equity, and business needs.
The posted range reflects the Sky's reasonable estimate at the time of posting and does not guarantee a specific salary or rate. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contractual and business considerations.
