Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Salesforce DevOps / Release Management professional to establish and optimize the end-to-end Salesforce development, configuration management, and deployment pipeline.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and implementing Salesforce development and release management strategies, establishing branching and pipeline processes, and managing the lifecycle of Salesforce changes from development through production.
This role will be responsible for helping define the overall Salesforce DevOps and configuration management strategy, establishing appropriate branching and release processes, and ensuring the organization's Flosum platform is configured and utilized effectively.
The successful candidate should be someone who has previously established Salesforce development and deployment pipelines and can provide practical guidance to the team based on real-world experience.
Key Responsibilities- Design and establish an end-to-end Salesforce development, configuration management, and deployment pipeline.
- Define and implement a comprehensive Salesforce release management strategy covering development through production.
- Establish appropriate branching strategies and source/code management processes for Salesforce development.
- Develop and document processes for managing Salesforce configuration, metadata, code, and releases across environments.
- Define best practices for development, integration, testing, deployment, and production releases.
- Establish a holistic approach to managing the Salesforce development lifecycle, including ongoing and parallel releases.
- Configure and optimize Flosum to support the organization's Salesforce DevOps and release management processes.
- Provide guidance to the Salesforce development and release teams on the effective use of Flosum.
- Assess the existing setup and identify opportunities to improve pipeline configuration, branching, deployment, and release processes.
- Ensure Flosum is configured correctly and aligned with the organization's development and deployment strategy.
- Establish governance and standards around code management, configuration management, version control, and deployments.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to deployment pipelines and release management.
- Provide hands-on expertise and mentorship to the team as they adopt and mature the new processes.
- Help establish repeatable, scalable, and reliable processes for continuous Salesforce releases and production deployments.
Required Qualifications- Proven experience in Salesforce DevOps, Release Management, Configuration Management, or Salesforce Development Operations.
- Hands-on experience establishing Salesforce development and deployment pipelines from the ground up.
- Strong experience designing and implementing Salesforce release management processes.
- Experience creating and managing branching strategies and code management processes for Salesforce development.
- Strong understanding of the complete Salesforce development lifecycle, from development through testing and deployment to production.
- Hands-on experience with Flosum, including configuration, pipeline setup, deployment management, and release processes.
- Ability to assess an existing Salesforce DevOps setup and recommend improvements.
- Experience establishing governance, standards, and best practices for Salesforce development and deployment.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, configuration, Apex/code, and deployment concepts.
- Experience managing ongoing and parallel Salesforce releases in a structured environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to provide practical guidance and mentor Salesforce development teams.
Preferred Qualifications- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce DevOps-related certifications, or Application Architect.
- Experience working with enterprise Salesforce environments.
- Experience implementing DevOps and release management processes in organizations transitioning from manual or less mature deployment practices.
- Experience with other Salesforce DevOps tools or CI/CD technologies is a plus.
- Experience defining and documenting Salesforce DevOps governance and operating models.

hands-on practitioner who has done this before, someone who has successfully established Salesforce development, configuration management, and release pipelines and can bring proven experience and best practices to the organization.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating at both the
strategic and hands-on levels: defining the overall DevOps and release strategy while also helping configure Flosum, establish branches and pipelines, and guide the team through implementation and ongoing releases.
Compensation:
The expected compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 annually. Compensation is determined in good faith and may vary based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, clearance level, labor category alignment, contract requirements, work location, internal equity, and business needs.
