Job Description:
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale marketing automation solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud technologies and will be responsible for building personalized, data-driven customer engagement campaigns while collaborating with business and marketing stakeholders to deliver scalable marketing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Build and maintain complex customer journeys using Journey Builder.
- Develop dynamic, personalized, and responsive email campaigns using AMPscript, HTML, CSS, and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS).
- Create and manage Data Extensions, Contact Builder configurations, and audience segmentation strategies.
- Develop and maintain automations within Automation Studio, including data imports, exports, and scheduled processes.
- Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and external applications using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve campaign execution, integration, automation, and data-related issues.
- Optimize marketing automation processes and platform performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, marketing teams, and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment activities, and best practice implementation.
- Ensure solutions adhere to development standards, security requirements, and platform governance practices.
Required Skills:
- 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience.
- Strong expertise in AMPscript development.
- Advanced SQL skills for data segmentation, automation, and reporting.
- Experience with Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS).
- Strong HTML/CSS experience for email template development.
- Hands-on experience with Journey Builder.
- Strong experience with Automation Studio.
- Experience with Email Studio and Contact Builder.
- Extensive experience creating and managing Data Extensions.
- Experience developing dynamic and personalized customer communications.
- Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM.
- Experience integrating SFMC with external and third-party applications.
- Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Salesforce Data Cloud experience.
- Customer 360 experience.
- Experience working in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of CI/CD implementation within Salesforce environments.
- Understanding of DevOps practices for Salesforce platforms.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale marketing automation programs.
- Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale marketing automation solutions.
- Experience supporting customer engagement, personalization, and campaign automation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success developing integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM, and external systems.
Certifications:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification preferred.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification preferred.
- Additional Salesforce certifications are a plus.
