Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce OmniStudio Developer to build, enhance, and support the MyEnergy application within Salesforce as the organization expands its residential customer program offerings, including the EmPower+ and Appliance Upgrade programs.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with the Salesforce technology stack, particularly OmniStudio, along with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Flows, JavaScript, HTML, and Salesforce Business Rule Engine. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, software engineers, testers, and IT leadership to translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, test, and support Salesforce solutions using OmniStudio and Salesforce development technologies.
• Develop and maintain OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, and other OmniStudio components.
• Develop solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML, and Salesforce Flows.
• Utilize the Salesforce Business Rule Engine to implement business logic and configurable business processes.
• Analyze business requirements and technical specifications and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and demonstrate completed functionality.
• Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Develop test scripts and conduct unit/integration testing to ensure solutions meet documented requirements before QA.
• Perform peer reviews of code and configurations to ensure adherence to established development standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, how-to guides, flowcharts, diagrams, and code documentation.
• Develop and maintain enterprise Salesforce reports and dashboards as needed.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, planning sessions, and status meetings.
• Communicate upcoming releases, enhancements, risks, dependencies, and project status to stakeholders.
• Identify, mitigate, and escalate technical and project risks appropriately.
• Follow Salesforce development best practices and applicable organizational and NYS IT security policies.
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and provide ongoing application support.
• Mentor other Salesforce developers and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Research emerging Salesforce and OmniStudio capabilities and recommend improvements to existing processes and systems.
• Collaborate with QA, business analysts, project managers, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant Salesforce development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce OmniStudio.
• Experience with the broader Salesforce technology stack, including:

• Experience creating and executing test scripts.
• Experience with code reviews and development standards.
• Experience working with a ticketing/project management system such as Jira.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and conduct product/functionality demonstrations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse, collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Salesforce certifications, particularly certifications related to Salesforce development or OmniStudio.
• Experience with Salesforce Industries / Industry Clouds.
• Experience with complex Salesforce integrations and external systems.
• Experience developing enterprise-scale Salesforce applications.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD deployment processes.
• Experience supporting energy, utility, government, or other regulated environments.
• Experience mentoring junior or mid-level Salesforce developers.
• Experience creating technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a hands-on Salesforce developer with strong OmniStudio expertise who can independently take a requirement from specification through development, testing, demonstration, and deployment. They should be comfortable working directly with stakeholders, explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences, reviewing other developers' work, and helping establish development standards.

This person should also demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, collaborative leadership, and a commitment to inclusive teamwork and continuous process improvement.
