Salesforce Product Lead / SME
Location: Remote
The Salesforce (SFDC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Product Lead will support the optimization, enhancement, and strategic utilization of the Salesforce platform across Client organization. This individual will serve as the primary Salesforce functional lead and trusted advisor- partnering with business stakeholders, operational leaders, IT Teams, and third-party vendors to improve processes, reporting, integrations, user adoption, and overall platform effectiveness. The ideal candidate combines strong Salesforce platform expertise with business process acumen, stakeholder management capabilities, and experience driving operational implementation / transformation initiatives. This individual is a business-minded Salesforce leader who can bridge the gap between operations, leadership, and technology teams and is comfortable driving strategic discussions while also supporting day-to-day platform improvements and operational execution.
Responsibilities:
- Assess current Salesforce environment, configurations, workflows, and overall platform utilization.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, automation, reporting, and user experience.
- Drive best practices for Salesforce governance, security, permissions, and data integrity.
- Support ongoing platform optimization and roadmap planning.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Improve workflows and operational visibility across sales, customer operations, service, logistics, and leadership functions.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, standardization, and reporting accuracy.
- Coordinate Salesforce integrations with internal systems and third-party applications.
- Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business leaders to support enterprise initiatives.
- Assist in evaluating future platform enhancements and integration opportunities.

- Ensure data consistency and reporting accuracy across integrated systems.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate resolution efforts.
- Establish scalable processes, controls, and documentation standards.
- Promote continuous improvement and long-term platform sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of Salesforce (SFDC) experience in a functional, product owner, administrator, or SME capacity
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, configuration, workflows, reporting, and automation
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders and translating operational needs into technical solutions
- Experience supporting enterprise system integrations and cross-functional initiatives
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to handle high-pressure situations and communicate effectively with non-technical staff
- Willingness to travel occasionally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Administrator certification
- Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or trucking industries
- Experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs, middleware platforms, or connected enterprise systems
- Experience leading platform optimization or digital transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product ownership practices
The pay range for this position is $140,000 - $165,000 per year and is based on the specific expectations of the role, candidate experience, and overall fit.
