About the Role and Job:

Position: Salesforce QA Engineer

Location: Toronto

Mode of Work: Hybrid (3 days a week)

This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and we are looking to hire a Salesforce QA Engineer.

Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Salesforce Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications, validating business processes, and ensuring high quality releases across multiple Salesforce clouds. Experience with nCino is a strong nice to have.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to develop detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, system, UI, and integration testing across Salesforce components.
  • Validate Salesforce configurations including Workflows, Process Builder, Flows, Apex classes, Triggers, LWC, and custom objects.
  • Execute tests for both Classic and Lightning interfaces.
  • Create and maintain test documentation: test cases, traceability matrices, defect reports, and test summary reports.
  • Use tools like JIRA to track defects and testing progress.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce developers, admins, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing scenarios and assisting business users.
  • Validate data using SOQL queries, Salesforce Inspector, Data Loader, or Workbench.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies-daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2+ years focused on Salesforce testing.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, page layouts, record types, and automation tools.
  • Experience testing Salesforce Flows, Lightning components, and Apex triggers.
  • Solid experience with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, qTest, etc.).
  • Ability to write SOQL queries for data validation.
  • Hands-on experience executing end-to-end test scenarios in Salesforce cloud environments (Sales/Service Cloud).

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Practical experience with nCino (Commercial/Consumer Banking Cloud).
  • Familiarity with financial services workflows-loan origination, onboarding, credit analysis, collateral, etc.
  • Salesforce certification(s):
  • Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201)
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder
  • Salesforce Certified Associate

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

The pay range for this role is CAD 70,000 - CAD 87,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
