Salesforce Quality Assurance Analyst

We are hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst for our client located in Quincy Massachusetts.  The person hired for this role will support the Local Public Health Data Solution implementation project. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and quality of this Salesforce based system.  The QA Analyst will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and the quality assurance manager to validate system functionality, safeguard data integrity, track issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the applications following a Scaled Agile Framework. The ideal candidate will have experience testing Salesforce applications, conducting manual testing including drafting test cases, conducting test case reviews, executing test cases, documenting results and supporting other test activities to ensure high-quality testing and user experience.

Note: This job is not open to subcontracting, corp to corp or visa sponsorship.

This is a hybrid role, but candidates must be able to reliable commute to the Quincy Massachusetts area for periodic meetings.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, execute, and document detailed test plans and test cases for new and existing functionality
  • Collaborating with the team to define clear acceptance criteria, comprehending user stories to formulate the test scenarios that validate positive, negative, cross functional and end to end conditions
  • Analyze test results and promptly collaborate with developers to fix test failures or escalating issues.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing across multiple work streams with a focus on data integrity and validation.
  • Test configurations, workflows, and integrations with external data sources.
  • Test across roles and permissions to validate privacy and security. 
  • Log test results using QMetry or Zephyr, track, and manage defects in Jira, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with development teams.
  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive testing documentation. Collaborate with business stakeholders to support user acceptance testing and ensure testing activities align with project goals and timelines.
  • Provide actionable feedback to improve product usability, performance, and reliability
  • Validate end-to-end data integrity and functional flow, third party services, data conversion etc.
  • Stay current with QA best practices, tools, and emerging testing approaches, including test automation.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3 – 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or testing (or equivalent training/education).
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies, with proven experience performing test planning, test execution and defect management within the Scrum Agile or Scaled Agile Frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and edge cases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience testing backend interfaces that use RESTful/SOAP APIs
  • Excellent in written clarity and documentation to articulate complex bug scenarios and technical requirements
  • Excellent in verbal articulation in interaction with both technical and non-technical members such as developers and business teams during testing process.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with team members.
  • Experience testing Salesforce applications, APIs, and integrations.
  • Adaptable and quick learner with new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with data validation testing across integrated systems.
  • Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in public health, healthcare, or government IT projects is a plus
  • Certification in Agile specific frameworks such as SAFe for Teams or SAFe Practitioner is a plus
  • Salesforce Associate Certification or Salesforce Administrator Certification is a plus
  • Experience testing integrations and interfaces for example: Snowflake
  • Experience using Zephyr, or QMetry for test case management lifecycle.
  • Familiarity in automation frameworks across the Continuous Delivery Pipeline (Acceptance Test Driven Development) to ensure quality is built-in rather than inspected at the end.

Work Environment:
  • This position is a full-time contract position with a hybrid setting, i.e. remote and with some level of on-site attendance expected (schedule driven by project ceremonies)
  • Requires reliable internet connection participate in virtual meetings without technology issues.
  • Must adhere to internal organizational and project policies and compliance requirements
  • Must practice professional code of conduct, respectful communication and collaboration and a supportive remote culture.
  • Attendance at periodic in-person meetings, project ceremonies or workshops is required.

Pay $50 - $53.50 / hour depending on experience
