Overview

This is not a traditional sales role. It's an opportunity for someone who thinks like an owner, identifies opportunities others overlook, and knows how to turn smart buying decisions into profitable sales. You'll focus on expanding into untapped niche retail markets, sourcing the right products, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, initiative, relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify opportunities where others see obstacles. Whether your strength is buying, cultivating industry relationships, or growing branded product lines, you'll have the autonomy to make a meaningful impact on the business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within niche retail channels.

  • Build and maintain relationships with retailers and key decision-makers.

  • Source and purchase products that align with market demand and profitability goals.

  • Analyze buying trends, pricing, and inventory to maximize sales opportunities.

  • Negotiate pricing, purchasing terms, and vendor agreements.

  • Manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification through order completion.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inventory availability and customer satisfaction.

  • Continuously research emerging markets, products, and sales opportunities.

  • Take ownership of revenue growth within your assigned accounts and territories.

  • Operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, proactively finding new ways to grow the business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in wholesale sales, purchasing, merchandising, or product sourcing.

  • We welcome candidates with a variety of successful backgrounds, including:

    • Experience buying and selling Amazon-branded or other high-volume consumer products.

    • A strong purchasing background with proven success identifying profitable products and managing inventory.

    • Established relationships with brands, manufacturers, distributors, or key industry partners that can help drive business growth.

  • Strong commercial instincts and business acumen.

  • Proven ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.

  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.

  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Comfortable making independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Existing relationships with Tier 1 brands or major suppliers are a significant advantage.

  • Strong cognitive, verbal, and analytical skills.
