Project Planner (Client Liaison/Salesperson) - Residential Remodeling
- Salary: $75,000–$200,000 per year, including guaranteed bi-weekly salary plus commissions.
- Job Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40+ hours/week
- Work Setting: Office, client meetings, vendor visits, and residential job sites
Ferguson Builders is looking for a motivated Project Planner - Residential Construction Sales to help homeowners turn remodeling ideas into well-planned residential projects.
This role combines consultative sales, client relationships, project planning, and residential construction knowledge. You'll work with homeowners from the initial conversation through design, estimating, contracting, and project handoff.
What You'll Do:
- Qualify, communicate, and follow up with leads to generate projects.
- Meet with prospective clients and understand their goals.
- Guide clients through the sales process, from design to contract to project completion.
- Develop accurate proposals based on project scope, budgets, costs, and margins.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings; communicate vision to the production team and all parties involved.
- Work with design, estimating, and production teams to develop well-planned projects.
- Clearly explain project scope, pricing, timelines, and expectations to clients.
- Build long-term relationships with homeowners and referral partners.
- Attend sales meetings and regularly communicate with the team.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and other marketing activities.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and internal teams.
- Achieve and exceed sales goals.
What We're Looking For:
- 6+ years of sales experience preferred.
- Experience with consultative sales and customer relationship management.
- Strong understanding of residential construction.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization, planning, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable discussing project budgets, costs, and financials.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and measurements.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to learn new technology and company systems quickly.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to client appointments, vendors, and job sites.
- Ability to work in residential job-site environments, including standing, walking, climbing, crouching, and carrying materials as needed.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to accurately document and compile measurements. Proficient in calculating area, volume, distance, project costs, financials, and profit margins.
