Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree with minimum additional experience of 2 year(s) in working with Salinity Control Programs in the Colorado River Basin.

  • Experience with Federal processes related to the Salinity Control Act and associated projects.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, Adobe Acrobat
Duties:

This position is intended to fill a critical resource gap in the salinity control program until a permanent position is hired. The general function of this position will support the administration of the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Program that reduces salinity in the Colorado River Basin to protect water quality for millions of municipal, industrial, and agricultural users in the U.S. and Mexico. This role will assist with coordinating funding processes, guiding applicants, and compiling documentation for salinity control projects under federal cost-share programs.?Coordinate all aspects of the Basinwide & Basin States Salinity Control Programs notice of funding opportunity process. Key duties include helping coordinate application process and associated requirements. This position will be responsible for working with Reclamation to develop informational webinars, track deadlines, compile documentation for internal review, and facilitate communication between applicants, the Salinity Control Forum and Reclamation staff. Additional responsibilities include preparing materials for the Application Review Committee, monitoring progress on pre-award clearances, and supporting reporting and compliance activities throughout the agreement lifecycle. All actions will be performed under the direction of Reclamation personnel, with no authority to approve or award projects.?Work with Reclamation staff to assess and track research and salinity control projects within the Colorado River basin?Coordinate with Salinity Control Forum Executive Director and attend necessary Salinity control meetings for planning and implementation of Program objectives. ?Review and provide comments on Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Advisory Council Annual report
