TEEZ Hair Studio is seeking a passionate, motivated, and career-focused Salon Associate to join our education-based team. This position is designed for newly licensed cosmetologists who are committed to building a successful long-term career behind the chair.
As a Salon Associate, you will participate in the TEEZ Associate Program, a structured training and development program designed to bridge the gap between cosmetology school and a successful salon career. Associates will work alongside experienced stylists, assisting with guest services while receiving hands-on education in technical skills, guest experience, retail sales, consultation techniques, business building, and the TEEZ service flow.
Successful completion of the Associate Program in good standing is required before transitioning to your own chair and building a clientele within the salon.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited cosmetology school
- Active Texas Cosmetology License required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Desire to learn and grow within a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to receive coaching and feedback professionally
- Passion for education and continuous improvement
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Assist salon stylists with daily guest services and salon operations
- Prepare guests for services, including shampooing, treatments, and blow-drying
- Support stylists during color services, extension services, and specialty services
- Maintain salon cleanliness and presentation standards
- Help manage inventory, restock retail products, and organize backbar areas
- Provide exceptional guest experiences consistent with TEEZ standards
- Participate in all Associate Program education and training activities
- Practice technical skills as assigned through the program curriculum
- Learn and implement TEEZ consultation, service flow, and guest retention systems
- Develop knowledge of salon retail products and make recommendations to guests
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and teamwork at all times
Associate Program Expectations
The TEEZ Associate Program is designed to prepare associates for long-term success behind the chair. During the program, associates will:
- Assist experienced stylists while learning advanced technical and guest service skills
- Complete all required educational milestones and practical evaluations
- Demonstrate proficiency in consultations, retail recommendations, service timing, and guest experience
- Maintain performance standards and remain in good standing throughout the program
- Successfully complete all program requirements before being offered a chair and accepting guests independently
